Bling says:
hey what are those 2 things you said to include in the site?
Michael says:
One minute, I saved the the conversation, I honestly don't have that great a
memory.
Bling says:
ok
Michael says:
I said we should add a link to the official document page on Sourceforge and
have the projects start date on the news page.
Bling says:
ok
Michael says:
Because your using Dreamweaver now I'm assuming it's better.
Bling says:
yes
Michael says:
Sorry, better than Frontpage.
Michael says:
Is there a free IRQ client? * Despite the conversation,
DreamOS doesn't use IRC
Michael says:
mIRC is shareware.
Bling says:
yeah at www.mirc.com
Bling says:
oh
Bling says:
search for irc client and www.download.com and find a free one
Michael says:
Good idea, check back in a minute.
Bling says:
k
Michael says:
Do you have dialup or broadband?
Bling says:
broadband
Michael says:
That's good, especially for donwloading/uploading.
Michael says:
Dialup slows to a crawl during downloads.
Bling says:
yep
Michael says:
I think I'm going to look for some IRC reference page or something.
Bling says:
k
Michael says:
We also need to add the sourceforge logo and code to our page.
Michael says:
I'll email the code to you since it's on the admin page.
Bling says:
ok
Michael says:
Forget email, here it is: <A href="http://sourceforge.net">
<IMG src="http://sourceforge.net/sflogo.php?group_id=74446&type=5"
width="210" height="62" border="0" alt="SourceForge.net
Logo"></A>
Bling says:
k i saved it
Michael says:
It's kind of funny, Dreamcast has a broadband adapter but because only few thousand
were made or something, on eBay it costs more than an XBOX.
Bling says:
lol
Michael says:
Before I started this project I was doing the Dreamcast NetBSD project, it used
a mapped hard drive on a server for storag so I actually bought a Broadband
adapter. The group wasn't extremely helpful though, that's why I started this
group.
Bling says:
ok
Michael says:
It's kind of funny, after a couple weeks this project has as many members as
their project, if they can get NetBSD running on Dreamcast with just as many
developers we can definatly get this thing started soon. We just need a bit
more planning.
Michael says:
The good thing about sourceforge is the developer advertising, that really helps.
Michael says:
Anyhow, on to planning.
Michael says:
That C++ compiler you found on Hitachi's site, does that let you write in C++
and then compile into Hitachi ASM? * We don't use Hitachi's
compiler as it isn't open-source
Bling says:
i need to go
Bling says:
i dint know
Bling says:
i'll find out later
Bling says:
i'll be on later
Michael says:
Bye, if it did it would make this much easier, we wouldn't need a loader. See
ya.
