Michael says:
Your back, what does brb mean?
Bling says:
be right back

Michael says:
That explains it.
Michael says:
I sent out a post to the rest of the guys.
Michael says:
You should have also received it.
Michael says:
Now that we've got an idea of what we're doing how are we going to do it?
Bling says:
we need to plan development i guess

Michael says:
Yeah, we need to plan out it features/structure/coding.
Michael says:
We also need to do something about strorage.
Bling says:
and e need to assign people to different coding taks
Bling says:
storage of what

Michael says:
Of data, the Dreamcast doesn't have a hard disk, one can be implemented though.
Bling says:
maybe is could run off a cd?
Bling says:
it*

Michael says:
We could have a read only filesystem on the disk but to save we'd need to have a mapped network drive or an implemented hard drive/floppy drive.
Michael says:
I've seen some plans on the Internet for adding IDE to dreamcast.
Bling says:
maybe would could do that - add a hdd

Michael says:
You don't actually have to mod the console, it plugs into the modem/lan port.
Bling says:
oh sweet
Bling says:
how would you connect an ide + power cable into the modem/lan port

Michael says:
Probably have to build a power supply. Shouldn't be too hard, I'm honestly better at electronics than programming.
Bling says:
ok

Michael says:
You probably have a modem connected to your Dreamcast right?
Bling says:
its in built

Michael says:
Does it snap off? * Regardless of locality, all Dreamcast modems are easily removed
Bling says:
i dont...know

Michael says:
What kind of Dreamcast is yours, I know there's a Japanese version, a North American version, and a UK version. Waht do you guys use in Australia?
Bling says:
um...
Bling says:
i dont think its any different
Bling says:
probably just like the us ver
* Australia would most likely use a UK version
Michael says:
Probably
Michael says:
I know on the Dreamcast programming page marcus says in the softwares IP.BIN file it needs to specify the locales it can run on. I guess we'll just specify all locales to avoid any problems.
Bling says:
yeh

Michael says:
You use Macromedia Dreamweaver for web design right?
Bling says:
i'll be back in around 1/2hour / 45 minutes - i need to go pick something up
Bling says:
yeh i do

Michael says:
See you then.
Bling says:
will you still be here?

Michael says:
Yeah, I'll be here for another 3 to 4 hours.
Bling says:
ok coo
Bling says:
l
Bling says:
seeya

Michael says:
